Karazin School of Oncology, Radiology and Radiation Medicine
The school provides undergraduate training in the field of the school, offers internships to graduates, invites healthcare professionals to secondary medical specialisation cycles, internships and numerous CPD events with the award of CPD points.
The educational activities of the School provide fundamental interdisciplinary theoretical training of students based on the latest research data and evidence-based medicine with the wide integration of modern simulation training technologies at the best simulation centre in the country and in real clinical practice at the clinical sites of the School of Medicine. The clinical base of the School, where students are trained, is the State Institution “S.P. Grigoriev Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”, a leading healthcare institution in Ukraine, known for its scientific, medical and diagnostic potential worldwide.
The School is headed by a renowned scientist and clinician, Director of the State Institution «M.M. Grigoriev Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology» Mykola KRASNOSELSKYI, MD, PhD, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor, surgeon, author of more than 250 scientific papers, 21 patents for inventions, 4 copyright certificates, 16 methodological recommendations, and 4 monographs. Mykola Vilenovych is a member of the editorial board of Oncology and Eurasian Oncology Journal, a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, a recipient of the Certificate of Honour of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Prof. V. T. Zaitsev Memorial Award, and has over 30 years of experience in scientific, teaching and clinical activities.
The educational activities of the school are provided by a powerful interdepartmental scientific and pedagogical team, which includes leading specialists of the country. Following the interdisciplinary approach to the organisation of events in the field of postgraduate education of doctors of surgical and radiological profiles, the training of students of certain educational events is carried out by scientific and pedagogical specialists of other departments of the School of Medicine within their competence.
