Karazin School of Preventive Medicine and Healthcare Management
The School provides undergraduate training for students in the School’s speciality, training for doctors in secondary medical specialization cycles and internships, invites healthcare professionals to attend CPD events with the award of CPD points, and conducts specialization cycles for people with higher non-medical education working in the healthcare sector.
The educational activities of the School provide fundamental interdisciplinary theoretical training of students based on the latest research data and evidence-based medicine with the wide integration of modern simulation training technologies at the best simulation center in the country and in real clinical practice at the clinical bases of the School of Medicine. An important area of the School’s work is the training of doctors in the speciality ‘Healthcare Organization and Management’ and people with higher non-medical education working in the healthcare sector in the specialities of medical and preventive medicine.
The School is headed by a well-known scientist and clinician, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor, psychiatrist Nataliia MIKHANOVSKA, author of more than 190 scientific papers, member of the Specialized Academic Council D 64.051.08 in Medical Psychology of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Karazin University, an expert in the international Ukrainian-Canadian project “Youth for Health”, was awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine “For significant contribution to the development of medical science and health care practice”, diplomas of the Kharkiv City Council, has an article in the reference and biographical publication “Medical Elite of Ukraine. Protection of the Nation’s Mental Health. The best medical workers of Ukraine in the field of mental health care”, is a member of the NGO “Ukrainian Association of Public Health”.
The educational activities of the school are provided by a powerful interdepartmental scientific and pedagogical team, which includes leading experts of the country. Following the interdisciplinary approach to the organization of events in the field of healthcare management and administration and medical and preventive care, the training of students of certain educational events is carried out by scientific and pedagogical specialists of other departments of the School of Medicine within their competence.
