The school provides undergraduate training in the school’s specialty, offers internships to graduates, invites healthcare professionals to secondary medical specialization cycles, internships and numerous CPD activities with the award of CPD points. Considerable attention is paid to educational activities for non-medical specialties in the field of emergency first aid and tactical medicine.
The School’s educational activities provide fundamental interdisciplinary theoretical training based on the latest research data and evidence-based medicine with extensive integration of modern simulation training technologies at the best simulation center in the country and in real clinical practice at the clinical bases of the School of Medicine. A significant contribution to the quality of the School’s educational offerings is made by fruitful cooperation with partners (Harvard University, International Medical Corps, NGO “Center for Tactical Medicine ‘East’, international organization ‘Cadus’ and others).
A significant amount of the School’s educational activities is aimed at improving the competence of non-medical specialties in the field of medical and preventive knowledge. The School offers educational activities in emergency pre-hospital care and military tactical medicine, which are conducted using modern simulation training equipment by teachers with experience in providing medical care in combat conditions and certified by prestigious international organizations. Thus, the Karazin School of Anesthesiology, Emergency and Tactical Medicine is certified as a provider of educational services by the world-renowned National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT, USA), whose educational programs are international in nature and are recognized in most countries of the world:
The School is headed by an experienced scientist and clinician, Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine for Research, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Emergency and Palliative Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine, Associate Professor, Anesthesiologist Mariia MATVIEIENKO, author of more than 40 scientific and educational works, 1 patent, member of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine with a total experience of scientific, pedagogical and clinical activity of more than 20 years.
The School’s educational activities are provided by a powerful interdepartmental scientific and pedagogical team, which includes leading specialists of the country. The School’s faculty are certified international instructors of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), American College of Surgeons (ACS), European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), International Medical Corps (IMC), etc., with experience in providing medical care in emergency situations and in combat, and significant clinical experience in emergency medicine. Following the interdisciplinary approach to the organization of events in the field of postgraduate education of anesthesiologists and emergency medicine doctors, the training of students of certain educational events is carried out by scientific and pedagogical specialists of other departments of the School of Medicine and schools of postgraduate medical education within their competence.
