Karazin School of Physical, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine
The school provides training of students in the school’s field at the undergraduate level, training of interns, advanced training of doctors of all specialties in the cycles of secondary medical specialization, internships and numerous continuing professional development activities with the accrual of CPD points
The educational activities of the School provide fundamental interdisciplinary theoretical training of students, primarily in the specialty 227 Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, as well as other specialties in the field of knowledge 22 Healthcare based on the latest research data and evidence-based medicine with the wide integration of modern simulation training technologies on the basis of the best simulation center in the country and in real clinical practice at the clinical bases of the School of Medicine. The school operates on the basis of several clinical bases among the leading health care institutions in the region: the multidisciplinary hospital “Kharkiv Clinical Hospital on Railway Transport No. 1”, Military Medical Center of the Northern Region, AlefClinic LLC and others, which are used to develop practical skills in real clinical practice. An important component of the training of students of all categories is the opportunity to work in the physical therapy and rehabilitation team of the freelance group of the military group “Kharkiv”, where students hone their practical skills in real practice, helping the defenders of Ukraine.
The School is headed by a well-known scientist and clinician, Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Mariia BRYNZA, Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor, Cardiologist, General Practitioner, is the author of more than 70 scientific articles in professional journals, including about 10 in Scopus and Web of Science, more than 60 abstracts, 5 patents, 3 textbooks and manuals, more than 250 methodological recommendations, supervisor of 1 dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences, speaker at national and international conferences and congresses, co-organizer of scientific and practical conferences with a total experience of scientific, pedagogical and clinical activities of more than 15 years.
The educational activities of the school are provided by a powerful interdepartmental scientific and pedagogical team, which includes leading specialists of the country with international certification in their field of activity. Following an interdisciplinary approach to the organization of the educational process of students, interns, young and experienced doctors of all specialties in the field of physical therapy, rehabilitation and sports medicine, training is carried out by scientific and pedagogical specialists of other departments of the School of Medicine within their competence.
