The team of Karazin School of Emergency and Tactical Medicine encourages you to participate in trainings. Developers and instructors of the course are certified by National Association of Emergency Medicine Technicians (NAEMT), European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and American Colleague of Surgeons (ACS) and the training program corresponds with international standards.
During the course participants will receive knowledge and master basic skills of first aid including the following:
- stopping critical bleeding (applying tourniquets, wound packing, pressure dressings, etc.);
- checking the level of consciousness and helping an unresponsive victim;
- opening the airway;
- life support in case of cardiac arrest;
- using an automatic external defibrillator (AED);
- helping a victim with airway obstruction:
- helping a victim having seizures;
- other first aid skills.
The training plan includes 8 hours of skills mastering (two days, 4 hours each). After completing the course each participant will receive an official certificate.
